10 out of a million songs that you know and still remember if you were born in 1982.

There are hundreds of millions of songs from the day we started to understand things around us or better from the time we started to have memories and all these songs may have affected differently our lives but I’m writing for the majority of people that when they listen to these songs know they remind them something of their earlier days. I chose 10 songs that have everything to do with the trends, the fashion, the pop culture and most of those looks we tried to copy them and adjust them in our daily look and style. And we looked so cool back then. They are not numbered as top because there are so many songs that we love that I would surely be treated unfairly to a lot of others that I haven't included.

These are the songs that will make the majority of 1982’s born individuals agree with me:

New Kids On The Block – “Step By Step”

The boy band from Dorchester, Massachusetts consists of the brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood and Donnie Wahlberg the brother of the famous actor Mark Wahlberg. They started their music journey in 1984, they disbanded in 1994 and after many years they decided to reunite in 2008 and the are in concerts until today. They have won 2 American Music Awards for favorite POP/ROCK band and Album.

Dr. Dre feat. 2Pac and Roger Troutman - “California Love”

"California Love" is a hip hop song by 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman. It was the first song that 2Pac released after his release from prison. It was No1 in USA for 2 weeks and a top10 for several more. It is considered masterpiece of its kind and you can hear it nowadays in several radio stations.

George Michael “Freedom!” 90

One of the best songs in his solo carrier and the number 90 was added by George Michael because there was another song in his carrier with Wham with the name “Freedom” in order to avoid confusion between them.

Robert Miles - “Children”

It was an instrumental composition by the Italian composer Robert Miles. It has mixed in Liverpool by James Burton and was added in Miles album “Dreamland”. It was number one in 12 countries including US and Canada.

Faithless – Insomnia

One of the most iconic dance songs in the 90s. It was originally released in 1995 and when it was re-released in 1996 in the faithless album “Reverence” became a major hit in Finland, Norway, Switzerland, Great Britain US and Canada.

Nirvana – “Smells Like Teen Spirit”

The first grunge album that entered the mainstream zone and it’s one of the most classical ones. Written by Kurt Cobain and it was the main song in the album “Nevermind” in 1991.

Metallica – “Nothing Else Matters”

Their third single in their fifth album which was self-titled as ”Metallica”. Written by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. One of a few songs in Metallica’s music path that was considered as a power ballad. One of the most successful songs ever written and a big part of our childhood.

Oasis – “Don’t Look Back In Anger”

It was the fourth single in their second album “What’s the Story (Morning Glory?)”. Written by Oasis’s lead vocalist and guitarist Noel Gallagher. It was released in February of 1996 and has topped in the UK and a worldwide success.

Bon Jovi – Always

It was a single that was included in their 1994 Greatest Hits album “Cross Road”. It sold more than 1 million albums only in the USA and three million albums worldwide.

Roxette – Listen to your Heart

It was performed by the Swedish duo Roxette. It was released in February of 1989 and it was the first song that reached No1 in USA and Canada without a commercially - released 7-inch single.
